Zudio, a fashion brand under Tata’s Trent Ltd., is known for offering trendy and affordable clothing for men, women, and kids. Despite its strong presence in physical retail across India, Zudio's online presence remains limited, with a basic website that lacks e-commerce functionality. With the growing demand for digital shopping experiences, especially among young, tech-savvy consumers, there is a clear need to bridge the gap between Zudio’s offline popularity and its underdeveloped digital interface. This redesign project aims to transform Zudio’s static website into a fully functional, user-centric e-commerce platform that aligns with modern user expectations and enhances the overall brand experience.
Core problem
Zudio’s existing website lacks essential e-commerce functionality and user-centric design, making it difficult for users to explore products, check availability, or shop online. This results in a poor digital experience that fails to meet the expectations of modern shoppers and limits the brand’s potential for online engagement and growth.
1. Empathize
We conducted qualitative and quantitative user research to understand user behaviors, frustrations, needs, and goals. This included surveys, interviews, and user persona creation to uncover deep insights into fashion shopping habits.
2. Define
Using the research data, we identified core pain points and defined a clear problem statement. We then prioritized the most critical user needs and set design goals aligned with user expectations and brand identity.
3. Ideate
Multiple brainstorming sessions were held to explore potential solutions. We sketched out user flows, planned key features, and structured content to meet user needs—focusing on simplicity, discoverability, and convenience.
4. Prototype
An interactive prototype was built using Figma to demonstrate the end-to-end flow—from browsing products to checkout. This helped validate navigation logic and user interactions before moving to final development.
6. Test
Usability testing sessions were conducted with real users to identify friction points and gather feedback. Iterative improvements were made based on their input to enhance clarity, reduce cognitive load, and improve overall flow.
Results and Impact
Enhanced User Experience & Engagement:
By transforming the website from a static platform to a dynamic e-commerce site, we improved navigation, added personalized shopping features, and streamlined the browsing experience. This led to increased user interaction and longer time spent on the site.
